1. You have to teach yourself some things and make yourself ready for things. If you can do those things you have a lower chance of failing.
2. This means that you can't rely on other people to teach you everything. You have to do things and put in work in order to not fail. If you can prepare yourself then you have a lower chance of failing compared to the ones that aren't prepared.
3. This matters because other people make excuses like "I didn't know how" or "You didn't teach me this." People need to teach themselves somethings every once in while. Some say that you learn more from yourself then from others. They are lazy so they make others show them how to do something. Maybe a little effort is all it takes. That's why this matters.
Another way this matters is that people show up to things unprepared. They think they need others help to prepare. All you need is yourself to get prepared. If your ready for it, you can achieve it. I think a lot of people want to achieve what they want but they don't prepare themselves to achieve it.
I can apply this to my life by teaching myself things. I will always try to do things without somebody else and maybe I'll teach myself better than anybody else can. I will also always prepare myself. I want to succeed but I can't go for it unless I'm ready. Even if I don't succeed when I'm prepared, I probably got further than someone who wasn't.

When I read this quote I think that no matter the obstacle in life as long as I try and do what needs to be done I cannot fail.

2. Based on my understanding this means that the the more you do, the harder you work, the more likely you are to be successful. I f you are going to be trying to become successful, then work for it. Also for studying its the same, you are more likely to take down a rival if you study their techniques.

There are so many situations i could use this in my life like studying for a test. Also for SR-LA i am getting better as practice and effort kicks in, i can jog 3 miles nonstop because i practiced. If you want to be better at a sport or start being better making it to degree you have to put in the effort. #1. I believe the proper summary for this quote would be the fact that, if you shall succeed, prepare, achieve, dedicate, among your goals, then their will be a smaller chance at failing. No matter how well you "THINK" you're going to fail, just put in the effort so you will be able to comprehend, and be confident that, you will have the courage to at least pass, or have that confident result afterwards when your conscience gives you the feeling that, you tried your best. Or you know that you tried your best.
#2. Based upon my understanding, this means that you should work your hardest, to get the best result. The harder you work, then the less chances that you will have a chance at failing. If people haven't heard, the harder you work, the better chances of it paying out. Don't you want nice cars, a nice sized house, money, wealth? Then work for it. Nothing comes easy to anyone.
#3. This matters to me because when I was younger, I went through a small phase where, I couldn't concentrate at all. I just always got distracted by the smallest things. No one could tell me anything. I was so stubborn. Until I reached middle school. Now there, was the point where I had to think, what I wanted to do to better myself in the future. 1. There is no such thing as a "bottom line." As long as you can educate yourself, you increase your chances at success.
2. To me I think this can mean many things. If you think you're at the bottom, you're not. If you have the access to education then you can always do better and become fail proof at it.
3. I believe that this quote can mean many things to today's society. A lot of people do things but then stop. They do something to a certain limit then just stop. They don't push themselves hard enough. All they do is tell themselves that "This is good enough." Not many people try to go beyond that. They never try to exceed their limits. That's why to become fail proof, you must exceed your limits and go beyond.
You might be questioning why did I bring up all those other topics in the previous paragraph. A reason why I did that was to show how those important topics relate to the quote. The quote mentions that the more preparation you have at something, the better you will be at it. I believe that that phrase from the quote is entirely true. The quote explains how to be good at something you essentially have to prepare for it. That is why the quote matters so much.
There are many ways of applying this quote to my life. Even though if I think I am at the bottom, it basically means I have more chances at education. Essentially giving me the opportunity to learn more. Which is something good. Education is a vital piece of our history. Without it we wouldn't be here today making all these new advancements in technology and all. The last phrase of the quote can also be applied to my life. 3. This quote matters because it shows you the importance of taking your education seriously. Many students take their education for granted. They believe it is unimportant, that they can still get a good job and earn a decent salary without ever going to college, or graduating from college. However, they don't realize that when they don't get educated and prepared for life, their chances of failing increase. Without education, students will not be prepared for daily life. They might get stuck in a job they dislike, earning very little money, compared to someone who went and got an education and was prepared for life.
I can apply this to my life in many ways. One of these ways is by taking more importance to assignments in school. Instead of procrastinating ion assignments I know are easy, or not studying for a test I think I'm prepared for, I can get the assignment done early and study for the test and be even more prepared. Another way I can apply the concept of the quote into my life is by getting more involved in school. In school, there are always opportunities to get involved. However, I don't participate because I'm either afraid of getting judged, or because I am lazy. Laziness is something that affects both students and adults everywhere. They often let opportunities fly by because of it.
Applying these concepts to my life will improve it in two different ways. The first way is by taking more importance in assignments in school, my grades will improve. With an improvement in my grades, I will be more likely to get into a college or university I want to go to. The second way, getting more involved in school, will give me the chance to get to know people better and learn new things from them. By getting more involved in school activities and events, I can meet more people and learn new things from them. Some of these things can be small, like studying tips or learning a new way to manage my time better.

This matters because people are not prepared for what is coming to them. Like a test, if you don’t come prepared and didn’t study, then you will most likely fail. If you studied and came prepared, then you have a very small chance of failing. Another example is college, if you are not educating yourself, then you might not even end up going to college.
