1. The quote is saying that luck is there but you don't just get it. To get it you must work.
2. It means you can't just rely on getting lucky. You have to work hard and whatever you get from working hard is the lucky part. You don't just get lucky from doing nothing.
4. They are similar because they both are on luck. They both are saying you can't just rely on luck to get you somewhere. You have to work and do it yourself. The difference is the video says don't look at luck at all just do it. The quote says the harder you work the more luck you get.
5. This matters because a lot of people depend on luck to get them somewhere. I hear "Hopefully i'll get lucky" a lot. This is bad because they're not working for it as hard as they can. If they work then maybe that will pay off to get lucky. That is important so they won't get lazy and rely on luck.
I can apply it to my life so that I know to work for what I get. I don't wanna get lucky to get something. I want to work hard for it so I can get luckier. I need to put attitude over aptitude. It doesn't matter how hard it is either.
At the end it matters about the effort not how lucky you got. It won't matter how hard it is because without struggling there's no progress. And basically with all luck your not making progress as a person. You need to control your life and not let luck do it. That's something i'll do, control my life.

1) The quote is trying to say that luck isn't a coincidence. The harder you work the more it pays off. When you want to achieve something you'll do anything you can to get it. You'll work day and night 24/7.
2) Based upon experience hard work does pay off. For example, if you're an athlete you want to make it big and go pro. But if you don't work hard on your free time and in training, you'll never make it there. So you always try to eat good, drink water, sleep good, work hard, and study to have good grades. Most of the time to go pro you need to go to collage to make it.
4) They are similar because they both tell us luck is no coincidence. Thomas Jefferson tells us that the harder he worked the easier it was to get luck. ET said that luck is for leprechauns and that hard work gets you what you want, not luck. The major difference is that Thomas Jefferson believed in luck and ET doesn't. Thomas Jefferson said when he works hard it's easier. he never stated that he got successful because of that hard work. ET said that luck doesn't exist but hard work pays off.
5) This does matter a lot in ones life. It matters a lot because it shows hard work and dedication pays off. It proves that if you set a goal you can achieve it. When you want something you go out and get it. you don't let anybody beat you, you show them you're better. Stun them all by doing what none of them thought you could.
I can apply it to my life by grinding in and out everyday. I can eat and sleep better. I could take time to study and read. I also would stop using my phone as much. Finally, I would do more work than I should do.

One of their differences is the video relates the topic to being intentional,deliberate,and strategic.The quote only relates to one certain meaning which might be that you want the best path but you are only giving a certain amount of work which is not enough to make it.Another way they are different is by having different ways of being motivation to others.They are both motivational even though they are different.

1. If you work hard for something you believe in, you'll receive a lot more in return. If you have your mind set on a certain goal, and work towards it, you will accomplish your goal, and greater opportunities will come your way, without expecting it.
2. Based on my experience, this quote means that the harder you work, the more you will achieve in life. If you believe you can achieve what you believe in, and work hard towards that goal, you will succeed. An example of how I can relate to this personally is academically. I had my mind set on getting an A on a big test that was coming up in one of my classes, so I studied and worked hard for it. When I got my test back, I saw that I got 100% on it.
4. The video and quote are similar in many ways. One of the ways they are similar is both explain that nothing in life is given to you, you have to earn it. Another way they are similar is they explain that the way you act affects the outcome of your life. In the quote, Jefferson found that the harder he worked, the more luck he received. In the video, Eric says that your attitude is a key component on whether or not you achieve your goals and dreams.
Though the quote and video have many similarities, they also differ in many ways. While the quote only mentions that you need to work hard to receive what you are working towards, the video explains that more than how hard you work affects your future. Your attitude and mindset are crucial to your life. If you let other things outside of your life affect you, your chances of succeeding go down. You have to take control of your life and attitude and learn to be deliberate about how you prioritize your life.

I can develop new studying habits and breaking others that can affect me.
Applying these concepts to my life can improve my life in different ways. Changing my mindset and viewing life in a more optimistic manner will allow me to be happier and be more positive. Dropping or breaking certain habits, like using my phone before bed, will allow me to go to bed earlier and be more prepared for school the next day. 2. My experiences with luck are I am lucky to have such a hard working parents who puts in a lot of effort to provide for his family, us. I feel like I am lucky to be alive, because I have put in my effort to stay alive with eating and sleeping. I also feel lucky for having an education and that I put the effort to come everyday on time to school and learn.
4. The video and quote are both similar, because they both have to do with luck. They both differ, because while the quote talks about how the harder they work the more luck they have and the video says luck does not exist it is all about your effort. 2.Based upon my experiences I believe that this quote by Thomas Jefferson describes how work is more than luck.This means that there is no such thing as luck, probability on the other hand will be greater if you work harder. Its like hoping you become an astronaut without attending high school or college, you have to work for it.
4.The video by Eric Thomas and quote by Thomas Jefferson are similar because they speak about luck and effort.The quote was mainly describing how the harder you work, the better you will be.The video spoke about keeping your life away form autopilot or keeping life flow without trying.They are similar because they speak of luck and how working harder and putting in more effort and how luck doesn't really matter.They differ because the video mainly talks about going to the max and the quote simply speaks of how he is getting better as he works harder.

2.what does this mean for me is the you should never give up and you never have to get on autopilot. You have to work it out or you wont succeed on your life. You have to control of your life.
4.The quote and the video are similar by the way that they almost have the same mining. Another thing on what that they are similar is that you could see the they have some words that are the same. The quote and the video they differ in the way that you watch the video and it tells you more then the quote. The quote just has some words and the video has a lot more to say.

And it can help you to have a better life. you never know when you you are going to need it that's why this video matter and if you don't take advantage of it you won't succeed. In sports it could be the same thing if you miss a day of practice you miss a chance to get better. So based on my experience skill does not come to you, you have to come to it and get better every single day.

ET was saying how he saw himself doing all that before he even did it. He started from nothing and is now on top. He didn't get lucky, he earned it he went out for it he gave speeches which started motivating people . Now he has gave speeches everywhere and does not plan on stopping.
5. I believe this matters because it shows you how dedication can take you far in life. Athletes go every day to practice and when it's game time, you see there effort every single bit they gave in practice they are giving out on the pitch. Movie Stars replay scenes over and over until it's perfect and get loads of money of money upon the effort they gave in their scenes. So to me putting effort into something will pay off. Maybe not today. Perhaps not tomorrow, but sooner or later it will pay off.

From my experience, I didn't see any point of getting good grades in elementary. But as I matured and got older I soon realized that you must put in 120% on school. Some reasons why is because without graduating high school in particular you won't get a job, and without a job you have no future. These are the reason on what I believe this quote means.

From my experience, when it came down with my parents most of the time I never right attitude. I would talk back sometimes and get in trouble. So its important to have the right attitude.

From my experience, my mom didn't get to graduate high school and that impacted her life in various ways. She just gave birth to my brother and my father left her, so it was extremely hard for her to deal with all this. But she didn't give up right away, she search and search for jobs everywhere. Until she found a good paying job. This motivated me to work harder in school and to have more respect for my parents because they sacrificed so much for me and my brother.
5c. Lastly this also matters to me because we as human beings need knowledge and learn from my mistakes. Without learning from your mistakes you(we) won't expand the way we think and our technology won't advance. For example, in the video E.T stated, " If you fail get back up". 1. What I think this quote is saying is that the more you work the more luck you will be able to have . I also think that this quote is saying is that the more you work the greater the chances of you being successful will occur and the greater things you will be able to accomplish .
2. Based upon my experience this means that if you work really hard for what you want rather than sit back your luck will increase . The reason I am saying this is because if you want to get a job , you do not sit back and wait for the opportunity to come to you . You get up and actually look for one and not sit in your couch and wait. You get up and look because greater things are around the corner you just need to look for them .
3. The video and the quote are different in some ways . The ways that they are similar is that they both are saying that the harder you work the more luck you have . Another way that they are similar is they both talk about not being lazy and actually work for what you want to accomplish. The quote and the video are also different because the video is mainly saying that in order to find the greatness that is upon you , need to get off auto pilot and the quote is basically saying that in order to have luck you need to work for it . #1) The quote by Thomas Jefferson stated that if you work hard and put forth all the effort then you will become lucky in knowing that you are capable of achieving your goals with hard work and not laziness.
#2) Throughout my life, I have come across times where hard work and effort has helped me succeed and achieve those goals. If you work hard it will pay off in the end. Hard work and effort has helped me achieve goals such as, earning a 4.0 grade average, graduating middle school, and being able to extend my education by attending high school, which is 1 step away from college. I will apply this thinking to any future goals of mine, that may seem difficult.
#4) Eric Thomas and Thomas Jefferson both have the same type of message which is, if you work hard you will be able to earn your goals in life. They both included their opinions in their messages, in the quote Thomas Jefferson very well believed that if you work hard you will earn alot of luck in your life, and Eric Thomas told us that if you take control of your life and try then you can achieve and succeed in life.
#5) This type of thinking is important because if you know and believe that hard work and effort pays off then you will be able to achieve any goals of yours. Effort and hard work isn't the only step to achieve in life but it's also your attitude towards the subject. If you have a positive attitude and believe that you are capable of doing the task then that will motivate you to finishing the task and being able to say," I have achieved that goal of mine." If you have a negative attitude and just beat yourself down then you will think to yourself that you cannot do this and I am a failure, but all you have to do is try.
As being in school there is alot of pressure including, getting food grades, completing homework assignments, and being able to graduate and all of these task will make you think that you are not capable of doing it, but you are. There are always gonna be those times but all you have to do is tell yourself, " You can do this, don't give up and just keep trying."

1.The more you work, you will find later on that great things will happen. If you don't work hard, then your life will stay on cruise control.
2. Based on my experience this means that if I don't work for my goals, then my life will stay as it is. If I control my life, then I'll be able to achieve my goal.
4. The video and quote are similar because they talk about how you get luck. They both say that you need to work to change yourself. They are different because the video says that you don't need luck.You just need to be able to control your attitude.
5. This matters because people just live their lives on cruise control hoping for change to happen. People count on their luck when they don't have any. In order to reach your goals you need to be proactive.You can apply these concepts to your life by. Having an attitude over aptitude. Accounting for every minute. 1. The harder you work towards something and the closer you are to succeeding, everything feels like "luck." You aren't really getting lucky, it's just that you are becoming so successful in what you are doing that your success seems like luck. The opportunities that are given to you are so unreal it gives off the illusion of the concept of luck.

5. Ultimately, the concepts of this quote can be applied to my life because it teaches me to work hard to be successful. Instead of waiting for luck to come my way , I can get up and be productive and progressive if I really want to succeed . I also need to learn that without failure there is no progress . If I want to do something I should put energy an effort as well as having a plan . I can also apply this to my life by putting attitude over aptitude.
In today's society we rely on autopilot too much. A lot of people just chill and hope that they are lucky and don't end up crashing. On the news , a man died after using autopilot in his car which shows you how lazy people are . People are willing to put their life on the line just to not put any effort . Just like in real life , people rely on luck too much that when it backfires they are the ones who end up crashing.

1. In my own words this quote means that, you won't need luck, if you're successful. Most of the time, most people believe in "Good luck" but on the other portion of time, you have to rely on your skills, and your commitment to that specific ideal topic.
2. Based upon my experience, this quote means to me as much as it means to my family. I grew up with old sayings, and the biggest one was the word,"luck". Because before, magic was the biggest thing in the early 2000's. Everyone believed in magic. But they also claimed it was luck. So I was kind of in the middle of that time frame.

4. The video and the quote are both similar. For only a few reasons of course. One, is the fact that they both claim that luck is for leprechauns and we aren't green. Which means, if you work hard enough for what you want. There's a 100/50 chance that you will get what your desire is.
5. This matters to me because most of my life, I grew up with the saying of luck. Luck was everywhere when I was younger, I was even accompanied by a lucky charm necklace. I had that thing everywhere I went. But, I've thought about the phrase,"good luck" and it didn't work out accordingly to my research.
I will apply this to myself because I know that I will become successful. No doubt. I won't need luck to rely on anymore. I just need to take advantage of my surroundings and acknowledge them. Take control of my life and don't let it take control of me. I think of it as if it's a big race since I'm really competitive towards the things that I work the hardest for. So therefore, I will work for my earnings and earn that gold medal. A comfortable life.

1. If you rely too much on luck, you won't have much of it. However, if you work hard for what you want you can achieve it. Also if you work hard for what you want, you can get lots of it too.
2. To me I believe this means that you shouldn't always rely or believe in luck. Although if you work harder you can achieve it. Also if you work harder you can get more of what you're trying to achieve. For example if you work hard for money you can most likely get more of it. However if you rely too much on luck, you probably won't get as much.

4. The quote and the video have lots in common. One way that they're similar is when Eric Thompson mentions you shouldn't always rely on luck. Something else that are similar too is that the harder you work you can achieve it. However the two also have things that differ. In the video Thompson says that if you're willing to control your life, you can have it.
5. Overall, the video and quote matter a lot to today's society. Many people nowadays rely too much on luck. Luck is something you shouldn't trust your life with. However some people think otherwise. This is why people are getting lazy. It's because they stopped working hard. However we can make a change. If people start working harder, we can make a difference in today's society.
This quote and video can affect our society in a positive manner. However, this also affects our life in a positive way too. One way I can apply this to my life is by not relying too much on luck. Luck is something that rarely occurs. Also it's something I would not trust my life with. If you trust luck enough to dedicate your life towards it, you most likely wont be getting the best out of your life.
Another way I can apply this to my life is by working harder. The harder I work the more I can achieve what I want. Also the video mentions that if you can grab control of your life, then you can have what you want. So I believe that working harder can get me something that I want. However if I rely too much on luck I won't be able to achieve at much because luck doesn't always guarantee you with success. That is why I rarely rely too much on luck.

2. In my experience, the harder I work the more work I find to do. For instance,basketball, the harder I work at practice the better I get. The better I get the higher i move up. Everyday I work harder to move from the freshman team to junior varsity.

I know that I control my life and if I want anything I have to get it myself. This matters because not everybody understands that luck is just a fairytale.
Can you ever work to hard? The answer is no. the way I can apply this to my life is to know that I can work harder. If I achieve a goal, I'm going to make another one and put the same hard work in to achieve it like my first goal. Just by striving instead of giving half effort I can make my life better. If a person really wants to they can achieve their goals by hard work.

2)I have a lot of luck experiences.One of my lucky experiences is I have parents that keep me happy.In order for my parents to keep me and my siblings happy they have to work. I thank my parents a lot cause they have to work hard.I feel so lucky for having a good education. To thank my parents I am going to go to college and get a good career to help my parents whenever they need it.

1.. This quote means that the more you try to more chance of luck you get. If you try hard then more doors open. More opportunity you have if you try your luck. Luck isn't just going to go to you if you're sitting down.
2.. I believe this is saying believe in your lucky and probably with you trying hard you will achieve your goal. Or the luck will hit you if you try your luck.
But you have to work hard and put your work into it to.
3.. There both saying that the harder you work. The harder you strive and the more wish about your goals and the more luck you think you have is the lucky you can get. You have to trust you luck and you have to try your luck. But if it does'n't mean you still can't try your're best. Yes it can happen yes you can be it but you can just sit there you have to be proactive and go chase it and try to catch it. You need strive for your luckiness.

I need to catch my luck for joining a club. I need to go try out for club even if i get rejected i still tried. But if i go try out for many clubs the more chance of me joining a club i have. They'll give me more opportunity. And if i get accepted in one then thats my luck and my hard work striving for me to be a good soccer player.
